CRM Software in Saudi Arabia: Odoo CRM Guide (2026)

The right CRM software in Saudi Arabia does more than store contacts. It should carry a deal from the first enquiry to a ZATCA-compliant invoice with 15% VAT, in Arabic and English. Odoo CRM does this in one system: the pipeline, quotations, invoices and e-invoicing share one customer record, so sales and finance stop retyping the same data.

Summary: Odoo CRM is a sales pipeline app that manages leads, opportunities, activities and forecasts, and connects directly to Odoo Sales, Invoicing and Accounting. For Saudi companies, the key advantage is that a won opportunity becomes a quotation, then a sales order, then a customer invoice in the same database. With the Saudi localization installed, that invoice is cleared or reported to ZATCA under Phase 2 e-invoicing and carries the 15% standard VAT rate, with Arabic text on tax invoices. Odoo also offers an Arabic interface, email-to-lead capture, a WhatsApp app (Enterprise only) and the Odoo Phone app for calls. A standalone CRM can match the pipeline features, but it needs a separate integration to reach your ERP and ZATCA. A focused CRM-plus-invoicing rollout usually takes a few weeks when the sales process is already clear, and more when data migration or custom fields are needed.

What Saudi sales teams need from a CRM

Most sales teams in the Kingdom start with spreadsheets, a shared inbox and WhatsApp chats on personal phones. That works until the team grows past a handful of people. Then three problems appear at once.

  • Lost follow-ups. Nobody can see which enquiries were answered, which quotations are waiting, and who owns each customer.
  • Double entry. A salesperson writes a quotation in Word or Excel, then finance retypes it into the accounting system to issue the invoice. Every retype is a chance for a wrong price, a wrong VAT number or a wrong customer name.
  • Compliance gaps. Since ZATCA Phase 2, tax invoices must be generated by a compliant e-invoicing solution and shared with ZATCA. If the CRM and the invoicing system are separate, the quotation data has to cross that gap cleanly every time.

A CRM for the Saudi market should therefore cover the sales pipeline and also connect directly to quotations, invoicing and e-invoicing. That is where an ERP-based CRM such as Odoo differs from a pure sales tool.

The Odoo CRM pipeline: leads, opportunities and stages

The centre of Odoo CRM is a kanban pipeline. Each card is an opportunity, and each column is a stage you define, for example New, Qualified, Proposal Sent, Negotiation and Won. Salespeople drag cards between stages, and managers see the expected revenue of each column at the top.

Leads and opportunities

Odoo can keep two levels. A lead is an unqualified enquiry, such as a website form submission or an email to your sales address. Once someone confirms there is a real need, the lead is converted into an opportunity and enters the pipeline. Smaller teams can switch leads off and work with opportunities only. Duplicate records for the same company can be merged, and lost opportunities keep a lost reason so you can see why deals fail.

Lead scoring and assignment

Odoo calculates a probability of winning for each opportunity using predictive lead scoring. The model learns from your won and lost history and from variables you choose, such as country, source, language and whether a phone number or email is present. Leads can then be assigned automatically to sales teams and salespeople with rules, for example by region of the Kingdom, industry or deal size.

Activities and follow-ups

Every opportunity has a chatter thread and scheduled activities: calls, meetings, emails and to-do items with due dates. Overdue activities show in red on the pipeline, and each salesperson gets a single list of what is due today. Activity plans let you schedule a standard sequence in one click, for example “call within 24 hours, send profile, book demo”.

From quotation to ZATCA e-invoice in one system

This is the part that matters most for Saudi companies. In Odoo, the CRM is not a separate product that exports data to accounting. It is one app in the same database.

Quotation and sales order

When the Sales app is installed, each opportunity has a New Quotation button. The quotation pulls the customer, products, prices and taxes from the same master data that finance uses. The customer can sign and pay online through the portal, and the confirmed quotation becomes a sales order linked back to the opportunity. If you use Inventory, the order also creates the delivery.

Invoice with 15% VAT

Invoices are created from the sales order, so the product lines and VAT treatment do not need to be retyped. The Saudi fiscal localization provides the tax set for standard-rated (15%), zero-rated and exempt supplies. Customer and company records hold the 15-digit VAT number and address fields that ZATCA expects. For the accounting side, see our guide to Odoo accounting software in Saudi Arabia.

ZATCA Phase 2 clearance and reporting

Odoo’s Saudi e-invoicing module (l10n_sa_edi) connects to ZATCA’s Fatoora platform. Standard tax invoices for business customers are sent for clearance, while simplified invoices for consumers carry a QR code and are reported. Each sales journal is onboarded with a one-time password from the Fatoora portal, and you can test in Sandbox and Simulation modes before switching to Production. Tax invoices and simplified tax invoices must be in Arabic, and Odoo can print them bilingually with English. Our Odoo ZATCA e-invoicing guide covers onboarding step by step, and ZATCA’s own e-invoicing overview explains the rules.

The practical result: the salesperson who wins the deal and the accountant who issues the invoice work on the same record. The opportunity shows the quotation, the order, the invoice and its ZATCA status.

Arabic interface and bilingual documents

Odoo ships with an Arabic translation and a right-to-left layout. Each user picks their own language, so a sales manager can work in Arabic while a colleague works in English on the same pipeline. Customer-facing documents such as quotations and invoices follow the customer’s language setting, and the Saudi localization supports Arabic as a secondary language on tax invoices.

Product names, stage names and email templates can hold both Arabic and English versions. This matters when you sell to government entities and large local companies that expect Arabic paperwork, while your internal team or foreign suppliers work in English.

Email, WhatsApp and phone integrations

Sales conversations happen on several channels. Here is what Odoo supports out of the box, based on Odoo’s documentation.

  • Email. Each sales team can have an email alias. Messages sent to that address create leads or opportunities automatically, and replies are logged on the record’s chatter. Website contact forms can feed the same pipeline when the Website app is used.
  • WhatsApp. The Odoo WhatsApp app is Enterprise-only and connects through Meta’s WhatsApp Business Platform (not the free WhatsApp Business phone app). You send pre-approved templates with dynamic fields, for example a quotation link to a customer, and customer replies open a conversation in Odoo Discuss.
  • Phone. The Odoo Phone app (renamed from VoIP in Odoo 19) lets salespeople call from an opportunity, log the call and schedule the next activity. It needs a VoIP provider. Odoo lists Axivox, DIDWW and OnSIP as verified providers; others can work if they offer SIP over WebSocket and WebRTC.

Other connections, such as a Salla store, a telephony system without WebRTC, or a marketing platform, need configuration or development. Our Odoo integration services cover those cases.

Reporting and forecasting

Odoo CRM includes pipeline analysis, a forecast view by expected closing month, an expected revenue report and win/loss analysis. Because the CRM sits on the same database as Sales and Accounting, a manager can move from “opportunities by stage” to “invoiced revenue by salesperson” without exporting anything.

Typical reports Saudi sales managers set up in the first month:

  • Pipeline value by stage and by salesperson
  • Win rate and average time to close by lead source
  • Lost reasons over the last quarter
  • Quotations sent but not confirmed after 14 days
  • Invoiced revenue against target, with VAT shown separately

Reports can be saved as favorites, added to a dashboard and filtered by sales team, so each branch or business unit sees its own figures.

Odoo CRM vs a standalone CRM

Standalone CRM platforms are strong sales tools, and some offer deeper marketing automation or a larger app marketplace than Odoo. The question for a Saudi business is what happens after the deal is won.

What Odoo CRM costs in Saudi Arabia

At the time of writing (November 2026), Odoo’s pricing page lists three plans:

  • One App Free: one app with unlimited users on Odoo Online. CRM alone qualifies, but quotations and invoicing need more apps.
  • Standard: about SAR 63 per user per month, billed yearly, for all apps on Odoo Online.
  • Custom: about SAR 120 per user per month, billed yearly, which adds Odoo.sh or on-premise hosting, multi-company and custom code.

Most Saudi companies need CRM, Sales and Invoicing or Accounting together for ZATCA, so the Standard plan is the usual starting point. Implementation is a separate cost. As an indicative market range, not a quote, a focused rollout for up to 10 users typically falls between SAR 20,000 and 60,000, depending on data migration, integrations and custom fields. Our Odoo implementation cost guide for Saudi Arabia explains what drives the number.

How to implement Odoo CRM: step by step

  1. Map the sales process. Write down your real stages, who owns each step, and what must be true before a deal moves forward. Keep it to five to seven stages.
  2. Clean and import data. Export customers, contacts and open deals from spreadsheets or the old CRM. Remove duplicates and fix VAT numbers and addresses before import, because ZATCA onboarding rejects incomplete company and customer data.
  3. Configure sales teams and rules. Set up teams, email aliases, assignment rules, lost reasons and activity plans.
  4. Connect quotations and invoicing. Install Sales and Accounting, load the Saudi localization, set up price lists and taxes, and onboard each sales journal to ZATCA in Simulation mode first.
  5. Add channels. Configure WhatsApp templates and Odoo Phone if you use them, plus the website form.
  6. Train the team. Short, role-based sessions work best: salespeople on the pipeline and quotations, managers on reports. See our Odoo training services.
  7. Go live and review. Switch ZATCA to Production, run the pipeline for four weeks, then adjust stages and reports based on real use.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best CRM software for small businesses in Saudi Arabia?

It depends on what happens after a deal is won. If you also need quotations, invoices and ZATCA e-invoicing, a CRM that sits inside your ERP saves the most time. Odoo CRM is a common choice because the pipeline, sales orders and ZATCA-compliant invoices share one database, with an Arabic interface included.

Does Odoo CRM support ZATCA e-invoicing?

The CRM app itself manages the pipeline. ZATCA e-invoicing is handled by Odoo's Saudi localization in Accounting or Invoicing, in the same database. A won opportunity becomes a quotation, then a sales order, then an invoice that is cleared or reported to ZATCA under Phase 2, so no data is retyped between systems.

Is Odoo CRM available in Arabic?

Yes. Odoo includes an Arabic translation with a right-to-left layout, and each user chooses their own language. Quotations and invoices follow the customer's language setting, and the Saudi localization supports Arabic on tax invoices, which ZATCA requires, with English shown alongside if you want bilingual documents.

Can Odoo CRM send WhatsApp messages?

Yes, through the Odoo WhatsApp app, which is available on Odoo Enterprise only. It connects to Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform, not the free WhatsApp Business phone app. You send pre-approved templates with dynamic fields, such as a quotation link, and customer replies appear as conversations in Odoo Discuss.

How much does Odoo CRM cost in Saudi Arabia?

At the time of writing, November 2026, Odoo's pricing page lists CRM free as a single app, about SAR 63 per user per month for Standard and about SAR 120 for Custom, billed yearly. Implementation is extra; an indicative market range, not a quote, is SAR 20,000 to 60,000 for a focused rollout of up to 10 users.

Can Odoo CRM make calls?

Yes. The Odoo Phone app, renamed from VoIP in Odoo 19, lets salespeople call from an opportunity, log the call and schedule a follow-up. It needs a VoIP provider. Odoo lists Axivox, DIDWW and OnSIP as verified providers, and other providers can work if they support SIP over WebSocket and WebRTC.

How long does an Odoo CRM implementation take?

A focused rollout of CRM, Sales and Invoicing usually takes a few weeks when the sales process is clear and data is clean. Projects with data migration from an old CRM, WhatsApp or phone setup, custom fields or several sales teams take longer. ZATCA onboarding should be tested in Simulation mode before going live.
