Odoo Implementation Cost Calculator: UK and Saudi Arabia (2026)

Use this Odoo cost calculator to get an indicative first-year budget for an Odoo project in the United Kingdom or Saudi Arabia. Pick the apps, users, customisation, integrations and data you need; the estimate updates as you go and shows the one-off implementation range, the yearly Odoo subscription and a typical timeline.

Indicative market ranges, not a quote. Implementation uses typical partner day rates (UK £550–£850, Saudi Arabia SAR 1,800–3,000 per day) and the subscription uses Odoo’s list prices (odoo.com/pricing). Hosting on Odoo.sh or your own servers, VAT and third-party apps are extra.

Get a scoped proposal

An Odoo project has two costs: the Odoo subscription, paid to Odoo per user, and the implementation, paid to a partner for the consultant days needed to configure, customise, migrate, integrate and train. The calculator estimates those days from your choices, then multiplies them by a typical partner day-rate range for your country (UK £550–£850, Saudi Arabia SAR 1,800–3,000). It adds Odoo's published Standard or Custom price per user for a year. A focused project with four standard apps and light changes usually lands in the 4–8 week band; manufacturing, heavy customisation or several integrations push it to months. Treat the result as a budget range for planning, not a quote: a scoped proposal after discovery replaces it.

How the estimate is worked out

Each choice adds consultant days. The calculator starts with five days for discovery, project management and go-live, then adds:

ChoiceDays added (indicative)
Accounting and invoicing4
Sales and CRM2.5
Inventory and warehouses4
Purchase2
Manufacturing (MRP)7
Point of Sale3
Website and eCommerce4
Project and timesheets2.5
HR and payroll5
Helpdesk and field service3
Customisation: light / moderate / heavy4 / 12 / 30
Data migration: opening balances / open items / history1 / 3 / 8
Each integration with another system4
ZATCA Phase 2 onboarding (Saudi Arabia) or MTD VAT set-up (UK)4 or 1.5
Training1 day plus 1 day per 10 users (up to 10)

A 10% allowance for testing and coordination is added, and the range runs from 85% of the days at the lower day rate to 120% of the days at the higher one. The subscription is users × the monthly list price × 12. In Saudi Arabia the US$ list price is converted at the fixed SAR 3.75 rate; UK visitors see pound prices on Odoo's pricing page, so the calculator shows the US$ list price for UK subscriptions.

What the estimate does not include

  • Hosting on Odoo.sh or your own servers (Odoo Online is included in the subscription).
  • VAT on the subscription and the implementation.
  • Paid third-party apps, payment terminals, printers and other hardware.
  • UK payroll: Odoo has no UK payroll localisation, so UK businesses usually keep their payroll provider.
  • Ongoing support after go-live, which is usually a separate monthly plan.

Saudi Arabia and UK specifics

In Saudi Arabia the biggest compliance item is ZATCA Phase 2 e-invoicing: Odoo's Saudi localisation supports it, and the work is onboarding your journals and testing invoices before your wave date. Arabic and English documents, 15% VAT and Saudi payroll with GOSI add to the configuration. Our Odoo implementation cost guide for Saudi Arabia explains these in SAR and the ZATCA e-invoicing guide covers onboarding step by step.

In the UK, VAT returns go to HMRC through Making Tax Digital from Odoo's UK localisation, and most of the migration effort is moving from Sage, Xero or QuickBooks. See the UK Odoo cost guide, the Making Tax Digital guide and the Sage and Xero migration guides.

From an estimate to a firm figure

An estimate is only as good as the assumptions behind it. A short discovery with your finance, sales and operations leads turns the ranges above into a fixed scope: which apps, which reports, which integrations and how much data. Compare any proposal you receive against our checklist on how to choose an Odoo implementation partner, and make sure licences, implementation, hosting and support are listed separately.

Frequently asked questions

How accurate is the Odoo cost calculator?

It gives an indicative range for budgeting, not a quote. It uses typical partner day rates and Odoo's list prices as checked in November 2026. Real projects vary with data quality, how many processes change and how quickly decisions are made, so a scoped proposal after a short discovery replaces the estimate.

What is included in the implementation range?

Discovery, configuration of the chosen apps, the customisation level you select, data migration, integrations, tax compliance set-up (ZATCA Phase 2 or MTD VAT), user training, testing and go-live support. Hosting on Odoo.sh or your own servers, VAT, paid third-party apps, hardware and ongoing support plans are not included.

Why are Odoo subscription prices shown in US dollars for the UK?

Odoo sets the currency on its pricing page from the visitor's location. UK visitors see prices in pounds, which can differ from a straight conversion, so the calculator shows Odoo's US$ list price for UK subscriptions and asks you to confirm the pound price on odoo.com/pricing.

How long does an Odoo implementation take?

A focused rollout of standard apps usually takes 4–8 weeks. A mid-size project with several apps, light customisation and one or two integrations takes 2–4 months. Multi-company or heavily customised projects take 4–6 months or more. The calculator shows the band that matches your choices.

Can the cost be reduced?

Yes. Start with standard Odoo apps and phase extras later, keep customisation to what changes how you make money, migrate open items instead of full history, and train key users who then train their teams. Choosing the Standard plan on Odoo Online also avoids hosting costs if you do not need custom modules.
